Nowhere is a virtual project space/ art gallery disguised as a video game.
Nowhere.gallery is a virtual, artist run exhibition
institution and project space, disguised as a video game, exploring and
creating virtual environments.

Using 3D scans and stolen 3D models from Google Earth, this made up
dream-like place, focused on the city of Groningen, can be explored using video
game mechanics.

The place of the exhibition was 3D scanned and then virtually placed in its
real counterparts position, as well as 3D printed and placed in itself, an
ironic take on the concept of the “thing in itself”.

Visitors can change, replace, scale, add and
remove images and 3D models.
Inspired by Constant Nieuwenhuys’ “New Babylon”, this
media landscape was created and changes by the user and not vice versa.
